still pregnant!!!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Seriously, thanks to everyone who has left me & Byron sweet comments, texts, and calls. It really lifted our spirits and helped us get through the roller coaster of last week. Byron and I were just saying last night how exhausted we are emotionally.
I have to especially thank a few people specifically.
First, my mother. She arrived the morning after I got home from the hospital and stayed with us until Sunday afternoon. She cooked, cleaned, and got all of Ruby's stuff organized. Most of all, she kept me company and I felt so secure while she was here. After she left, both Byron and I were a little nervous again. Good thing she's only a phone call away - and boy does her phone ring a lot :)

please ignore my ridiculous bed rest appearance...

Next up - my awesome in-laws. They brought us a twin size bed to put in our living room. It was great for my mom while she was here and has been perfect for me during the day. I'm not shut away in the hot and muggy bedroom all day (we don't have central air). They also brought us a dresser for all of Ruby's things and we feel much more prepared for her to come. Thanks!!!

And lastly - Byron. He has been so great through all of this. He HATES hospitals and all things medical. To the point where he can barely take a sip of water in the hospital. I couldn't even tell while we were there though. He really stepped up and I know he'll do great when Ruby comes. He works for such a great company - they have been so understanding of our situation and I know that he could leave work IMMEDIATELY if I needed him. That's been a great comfort.

I'm still pregnant and doing pretty well. I continue to have some contractions and cramping but nothing too serious yet. Thursday is my 34 week mark - we will breath a lot easier if we make it to that point. Anything beyond that is one big bonus. It's kind of frustrating not knowing what's going to happen, but I'm sure it's like that with any pregnancy. For now I'll continue bed rest and take the medication for the contractions. I hope my body can keep her in for a few more weeks at least but I'm so grateful we've made it this far. The little babe is doing well - she is still very active and we heard a good strong heartbeat again yesterday at the doctors office. I smile when I hear it and wonder what life's like for her in there. Sometimes I think she is having a little party when my tummy starts to move like a bag of popcorn in the microwave :) It probably is like a little party because that usually happens after I've drank some root beer or something sweet!

Thanks again everyone, I have appreciated every one of you.

Wow! what an adventure you've been on. I haven't been a very good friend. You were so kind to send me an invite to your shower and I hope it was a great success, with all the things you will need. I planned intently on coming, only my sister surprised me with a visit and completely changed all my previous plans! So sorry! I was very sad not to have seen your cute belly! =) I hope all is well and this may seem like an eternity, but with that beautiful little girl in your arms soon, you easily forget the long journey she took to get there! =) You are so gorgeous and I'm so happy for you, dear friend!

Hey its Jillian I know it has been forever and you probably dont remember me but we worked together at Access Point. I was on Stephanie's blog and came across yours I hope you don't mind but I wanted to tell you to hang in there. I just had a similar experience with our little man and we were able to wait till he was 34weeks and all went well. He did stay in the hospital for a little bit to learn how to eat but it is amazing what steriods can do for their little bodies along with all of the other medical things they have. Hang in there I know its stressful but things do work out. Good Luck, and congratulation!!!

What a relief!!! That is so scary. Isn't that funny how different everyone is? I can't get my babies out-I have to induce and boot them out! The thought of having to lay down and take meds to keep them IN is so new to me. Best of luck to you! You are in my thoughts and prayers:) I can't wait to see her.

Hey it's Easton's mom, Jamie. I hope you don't mind but Michelle told me you had a blog so I wanted to check it out and see how you're doing! We're missing you already but SO happy things are going well for you! I have gifts for you that I planned on giving you on your last visit before your little one arrived! Will you please email me your address so I can mail them to you? Or if that's too crazy, I'll drop it at KOTM and you can pick it up. Thanks!
