This little girl smiles all the time now! She is so fun to be with and we just adore her. She seems most happy in the mornings (when she isn’t starving) and gives me the most smiles at that time. She has had her first trip to Idaho and did pretty well on the drive. We did have to stop once each way to change and feed her, which seemed to add quite a bit of time to the drive. She tracks objects so well now. She loves watching her mobile above her swing but will also track toys that I move back and forth. She watches us when we walk by or leave the room. She also turns to our voices very well now. When given the choice, she definitely prefers looking at her daddy and I’m just fine with that. I think he is pretty nice to look at too ;) She had her two month check up today. 55% for weight, 45% height, and 5% head. Yeah, small head – but it doesn’t really look small or anything. I have been a bit worried about the shape (going flat) but our Doc wasn’t too concerned for now. Tummy time is going very well… just the other night she rolled from her tummy to her back all by herself five times! As you can imagine, it was quite the exciting event that evening. Her strength always amazes me. She bears so much weight onto her legs now and will bounce around a little when we stand her up. Talking is one of her favorite things to do. Even when she eats! Byron thinks she sounds like a little piglet when she eats :) She is making all types of cooing sounds and many people comment on how verbal she is. This past Sunday was her first day in church. We had a tri-stake meeting at the tabernacle on temple square with Elder Ballard. She slept the whole time and the woman next to us complimented her on being ‘such a little lady.’ Her longest stretch of sleep at night is 6 hours. I love bringing her into bed with me in the mornings after Byron gets up for the gym – we usually get a few more hours of sleep and I love being close to her.

Halloween... Our baby ballerina:
As for me, I absolutely love being a mom. I feel more fulfilled in my role as a wife and mother than anything else I’ve ever done. The past two months have been so wonderful. There are hard things of course, but I would go through much more difficult things just to be a mother. Byron and I feel incredibly blessed to have this little girl in our home.

2 months! Holy Cow--time seems to be flying by. I can't believe I haven't snuggled and loved on your baby yet. I am the lamest friend. I've missed seeing you for sure! She is beautiful and I never doubted this motherhood thing would fit you just perfectly. Congrats.
You're so cute Bri! And a great mom from what I can see. Miss you and glad all is well!
I love all your updates on her developmental milestones. You must be a child development specialist or something :) She is an aboslute doll! I want to come visit. Will you be around Saturday?
you are so sweet. I love your outlook on your new precious girl. I hope you know that she is beautiful, and I love seeing pictures of her. Good luck on many more months to come.
