Ruby's car seat is far too big to fit nicely in the shopping cart so she rides along in a baby carrier while I grocery shop.
She has a good time... my back, on the other hand, does not. I must produce super-milk, because this girl has become quite heavy.
Or... I'm just a wimp. Very possible and quite likely.
Ruby is my best looking & favorite accessory.
Can I call my baby an accessory? Please don't report me for saying that. She's obviously much more than that but boy do I love to show her off. Am I the only one who has ever felt that way about her first child though?
Back to grocery shopping and my good looking accessory child.
In the frozen foods isle. This sweet little old lady said to me,
"Your baby is just beautiful. Really. Adorable."
Oh, well thanks.
"They don't all come out like that you know. I keep my eyes peeled for the cute ones. Sometimes they just aren't that way."
Umm, haha, Yeah.
"Really, there are some who just aren't that cute. But you have a beautiful baby."
Wow. I wouldn't have believed this story unless it happened to me.
And they say "kids say the darnedest things." I guess the pendulum swings both ways.

Us little old ladies get to say pretty much what we want! And we sure do! By the way Ruby is exceptional--must be the genes.
hilarious! people are so random. but it's kinda true...oh my gosh. i'm going to hell for saying that.
and, um, we all want to show our kids off. cue blogs, Facebook, and anytime we go in public :)
She is seriously so beautiful!
haha funny. It really is amazing what people will say to you when you start toting a cute accessory (uh, I mean BABY) around. It sure helps people open up!!
she's right you know. not all babies are cute. haha. Ruby does just take my breath away. she is very beautiful. Just let the old ladies coo over her. =) It is fun to see how the older generation just magnets to cute kids. I mean it happens to me ALL of the time too! {haha that was a little joke}
